The highly anticipated Qantas Twice as Rewarding promotion has officially returned for 2026. For a limited 8-day period, Qantas Frequent Flyer members can select between double Qantas Points or double Status Credits on newly booked, eligible Qantas-operated flights.

1. Double Points vs. Double Status Credits: Which Should You Choose?

Your selection depends entirely on your frequent flyer strategy over the coming 12 months. Here is how to evaluate the two options:

Reward Option Best Suited For Strategic Advantage
Double Qantas Points Leisure travellers, family holiday planners, and members saving for Classic Flight Rewards or cabin upgrades. Accelerates point accumulation. An international return flight earning 25,000 base points will yield 50,000 total Qantas Points.
Double Status Credits Frequent business travellers, status hunters aiming for Silver/Gold/Platinum, and Lifetime Status builders. Halves the flight requirements to achieve or retain status tiers. A Sydney–Perth Business Class return yields 320 Status Credits instead of 160.
💡 Important Rules on Bonus Status Credits:

Bonus Status Credits earned through Twice as Rewarding DO count towards tier retention, tier progression, and Lifetime Status. However, Qantas terms explicitly exclude them from counting toward Loyalty Bonuses (at 500/1,000 SCs), Platinum Bonus Rewards, Platinum One Bonus Rewards, or Status Accelerator / Fast Track challenges.

2. Step-by-Step Registration & Booking Workflow

  1. Register First: Log into your Qantas Frequent Flyer account via the Qantas App or campaign portal prior to booking.
  2. Select Your Reward: Choose Double Points or Double Status Credits. You can modify this choice until 11:59 PM AEST on 2 September 2026.
  3. Book Eligible Flights: Create new flight bookings between 26 August 2026 and 2 September 2026 for travel departing between 3 September 2026 and 14 August 2027.
  4. Attach Frequent Flyer Numbers: Ensure every passenger has their unique Frequent Flyer number correctly linked to their ticket.

3. Flight & Route Eligibility

To qualify for double rewards, flight sectors must satisfy strict operating rules:

Flight Sector Category Status Details & Conditions

QantasLink Regional Carriers ELIGIBLE Sunstate, Eastern Australia, Alliance, National Jet, and Airlink.

4. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I book eligible flights through Travel Crafters instead of Qantas direct?
A: Yes. Qantas explicitly lists travel agents as an eligible booking channel. Booking via Travel Crafters allows us to optimize your routing, handle complex itineraries, and verify QF operator status.
Q: Can I change my reward selection after I’ve already registered?
A: Yes, you can switch between Double Points and Double Status Credits as many times as you like until 11:59 PM AEST on 2 September 2026. Your final selection at that deadline applies to all eligible bookings created during the offer period.
Q: Does every passenger in a family booking need to register separately?
A: Yes. Each traveler (including children) must be an active Qantas Frequent Flyer member, individually register for the offer, and have their unique membership number attached to their ticket.
Q: When will the bonus points or status credits appear in my account?
A: Qantas terms state that bonus points or status credits will be credited to your account within 8 weeks following completion of travel.
Q: What happens if I modify an existing booking made before 26 August 2026?
A: Modifying, reissuing, or paying off a booking created prior to 26 August 2026 will NOT qualify. A completely new booking PNR must be generated during the promotion window.
